Between Heritage and Horizons
My work explores the intersection of tradition, identity, and the evolving role of women in contemporary Arab culture. Through oil on canvas, I reflect on visibility, heritage, and transformation—capturing moments where past and future meet.
Each piece navigates the space between what is seen and what remains hidden: from faceless women wrapped in symbolic jewelry to dreamlike landscapes that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination. Themes of silence, presence, and quiet power run throughout my art, as do questions about belonging, change, and our collective journey.
Inspired by the cultural landscapes of the Arabian Gulf, I celebrate both where we come from and where we are headed—inviting viewers to find their own meaning within the in-between.

About Me
Art has always been the language my soul speaks most fluently. I started painting as a child — between 1991 and 1995 at the School of Fine Arts for kids — and later continued my education at the Alexandru Plămădeală Republican College of Fine Arts. In my early twenties, I began teaching art at a private school, guiding young minds while quietly continuing to shape my own vision.
Life then led me into a very different world — the world of private banking. From 2008 to 2015, I worked at a Swiss bank, where I learned structure, precision, and how decisions shape futures. Yet even in that world, I never stopped seeing beauty, never stopped creating. Art has always stayed with me — whether through digital projects like NFT collections in the metaverse, or now, back on canvas, where I belong.
Since 2021, I’ve returned to painting with full presence — drawing inspiration from both my European roots and my deep connection to the UAE, which has become my second home. The quiet elegance of Emirati culture, its warmth, rhythm, and strength, has deeply touched me. This meeting of East and West lives in my work. In 2025, I began studying at Artocratia Academy, exploring contemporary art through both theory and feeling.
I paint people. I paint silence. I paint stories that words sometimes cannot hold. My art is an offering — for those who pause, who feel, who seek connection beyond what is seen.
